Diploma In IT Level 4 (Only for non-visa students)

Course Summary

This is the foundation level of Higher Education Qualifications. This level is the academic equivalent to Year 1 of a UK university honours degree. The Diploma in Information Technology (L4) is the study of IT at a thorough level with a brief look into physical hardware and a more intense look into Software and platform development/construct. The programme can prepare you for an IT management role in a large office based company heading a team of other IT specialists or working in that team; depending on the level you reach. Work duties could include maintaining software, database management, networks etc across a large office environment.

Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements
A certificate level qualification or equivalent is the entry requirement for this course.
English Language proficiency is required at CEFR Level B1 equivalent in each module (reading, writing, speaking and listening) unless the student is from a majority English-speaking country.


Students will be assessed on a continual basis. A folder will be kept and records kept of all work and tests undertaken during the course. Tests will be done after each unit, some of which may be practical subject to centre programme. Centres will have flexibility here but it would be advisable to check with awarding body initially.


Progression is to level 5 Diploma in IT or other equivalent accredited qualifications
